Dear Isabella,

I have a follow-up to your “falling for an escort” post. Let me first reveal a bit about myself – physically I’m an Asian in my mid-20s and am relatively fit (for an Asian). Materialistically, I am an ivy-league graduate and have a nice job; I also benefited greatly from my company’s stock options. But I have difficulties when it comes to communicating personally with women, and as such have never had any intimate experiences with them (let’s just say that I am always the one receiving bad news from my past dates).

Last night I met an escort (it was a first time for me on many levels) who I sincerely believe is a student having difficulties paying for her education, and would like to lead a more normal life if only her fortunes would allow (we spent quite a lot of time talking in depth about university life).

I think all men have an innate desire to protect, and I am no different. Or maybe that isIn my current job I do not have any prospects of finding someone to fall for, and so I constantly feel incomplete, unfulfilled.

The question I have, then, is whether it is childish of me to try to befriend and help her, and see how things goes. To be honest, I do realize that our circles would never have overlapped under normal circumstances. But now that we have met, I am wondering where this can go.

On a salary of $45k? She is going to care about what you can give her, not the car you drive. Can you afford to give her AT LEAST $10k -$20k a year? And good luck making it a monogamous relationship… Just get an escort, then it doesn’t really make a difference how much you make, you just cant see them often.

You might as well just learn how to be desired by women. Hiring an escort is for a certain ‘experience’ and convenience… Its not going to satisfy your life like a real girlfriend/s will.

Yeah this is really shady… Sad to think about it like this, but undoubtedly most escorts probably have herpes, possibly unbeknown to them. You figure 1/3 sexually active people have it, someone who does it for a living… Almost guaranteed. Like she said, oral sex is easy and universal. A condom does not provide sufficient protection against herpes for vaginal sex, i’m not sure what does. Definitely without a doubt necessary, just not completely sufficient. But then you know you wont end up with HIV. Especially since so many escorts have (potentially IV) drug problems, the are having unprotected sex with other IV users. Careful screening for classy escorts helps, but there is no way to be certain.

Why do repeatedly state that “escort services” are illegal. They are not illegal. Prostitution is. Yes, most prostitutes work under the guise of being escorts, and yes, laws are different for each state but that does NOT make it illegal. Please explain your reasoning behind “escorting is illegal”.

Hey,
I have been doing escorting for about 2 years, and have decided to quit. Mentally couldn;t handle it anymore, and the guy i liked went from not interested to maybe putting a ring on my finger. It’s just a hard transition to go threw. Do you have any tips on staying on the path.
